Marc recorded "This Feelin'" in 1982 at Crow Recording in Seattle, with John Nelson engineering. Several of the Seattle area's finest musicians had their first or very early session in a recording studio on this project: Orville Johnson (acoustic guitar, siede guitar, fiddle, mandolin), Marty "Dr. Slide" Lepore (dobro, electric lap steel guitar, spoons on the bonus track), Pete Martin (mandolin and fiddle), Cathy Nordhaus (now known as Cathy Chung - harmony vocals), Mark Filler (dulcimer and tongue drums), J.J. Mayfield (on loan from "Bad" Ray Boneville's Blues Band - drums). Jonothan Schneider on banjo had much experience in the Bay area before moving north. Quentin "the Mysterious Dr. Q" Rhoton had been playing washtub bass with Marc since 1975. Gabrielle Silva wrote the song "Homing Heart" and gave it to Marc, she sings harmonies on "Blue Guitar Pick" and "Seattle Zoo". Phil Herold sings harmonies on a couple songs. Many of the songs had been waiting 10 years, or almost that long to get recorded, but there were a couple newer ones as well: "Goin' Down To The River" (laid back swinging Blues with twin slide guitars - Orville on acoustic and Marty on lap steel), and "Magic Words". Music and lyrics for many of the songs were included in Marc's book "Homegrown Music". The jazzy "How I Say It" got compared to Mose Allison by one person who bought the cassette. Still available on vinyl (with only 11 songs - $6 plus postage), Marc has decided to reissue it on CD with all the tracks from the cassette, plus "The End Of The World", which we should have promoted that year the Mayan calendar was misinterpreted as designating as the last year ever.
